This was my reaction when listening to Anthrax’s Among the Living for the first time.
Anthrax was a band I always knew of, but never listened to much beyond “Bring Tha Noize” and “Madhouse”. I’m not really sure why, I just never gave them a chance.

I started listening to thrash metal almost exclusively starting back in January or February of this year to get some influences for my band Brain Rott. I finally gave Anthrax a shot and checked out Among the Living.

Whoa. I was immediately hooked! “Caught in a Mosh” and “One World” have some absolutely sick riffs that blew me away.

What have I been doing my whole life not knowing about this album?! Better late than never I suppose!

If you’re a fan of the genre, but haven’t checked out this album, do yourself a favor and give it a whirl!

Starting a blog again

A place for the notes that do not fit on a one-page site.

The main site is one hand-written HTML file and I like it that way.
